Negotiation Report #8 | Agreement with CSC

The Bargaining Committee has finally reached an agreement with the employer, Correctional Service Canada, concerning our Global Agreement. After a tentative deal was struck with the Treasury Board on October 17, the deal with CSC was reached on October 30, 2020.

As amended during our most recent national general assembly held in May 2019, article 12.04 of our Constitution specifies that the tentative agreements (Global Agreement and Collective Agreement) must be presented to all 49 local presidents before they are presented to the 7,500 members of UCCO-SACC-CSN. This meeting with the presidents will take place on Friday, November 6, 2020.

On the same day, all members will be provided with a document highlighting the results of the negotiations for both agreements. Three days later, on November 9, a series of general assemblies will begin across the country to ratify these agreements. During these assemblies, all articles of both agreements will be presented by a member of the Bargaining Committee, and all questions will be answered before voting takes place. You will receive more information about these local assemblies shortly.
