Negotiations – A real start finally!

At long last, the real discussions have started. This is what comes out of our three days of negotiations, held on January 28, 29 and 30 in Ottawa.

Almost a year after we submitted our initial demands to Treasury Board, we can say that the real negotiations have just started.

Indeed, after seeing the employer spokesperson change three times since March 2019, we finally managed to sit down with him for three consecutive days. A first since the start of the negotiations. We laid the groundwork on our three biggest demands, improvements to our pension, annual leave and salary. We managed to get to the heart of the matter and discuss the real business.

In short, UCCO-SACC-CSN’s bargaining committee is satisfied with these three days of negotiations and feel that finally, the real game begins.

The next meetings are planned on March 10,11 and 12.

Stay tuned.
